citylights church

City Lights Church started in the summer of 2003 after a team of people relocated from Vine Community Church in Carbondale, IL to obey God's calling to start a new church in St. Louis.  Ben Powers, who was a pastor at Vine, initially felt God asking him to plant City Lights in 2002.  In August of that year, the plans for starting the church were announced at Vine, and 11 people felt God asking them to be a part of it.  Since then, City Lights has started to gain momentum, with services at 8675 Olive Blvd. and several Small Groups meeting in people's homes.  We are excited about what God will do in the coming years.
