COVID-19 INFORMATION

As you know, health experts and government authorities continue to make new guidelines to curb the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the United States. Therefore, we have updated our approach which is outlined below.

SUNDAY SERVICE

Starting Sunday, 5/23 and until Sunday, 6/13 (our final Sunday at 8675 Olive) we will be taking the following approach:

  • The 9 am service will no longer have capacity or social distancing constraints and for those that are fully-vaccinated, you are free not to wear a mask.  We don't plan on verifying vaccination status of anyone attending, but do encourage those that have not been fully vaccinated to continue to wear a mask as outlined by the CDC and St. Louis County.  We also plan to resume prayer ministry time for those wanting to participate during this service.

  • The 10:45am service will continue with capacity, social distancing, and masking requirements, as we have been doing for the last 5 months.

  • We will continue live streaming the 9am service on facebook for those that are not able or comfortable attending an in-person service at this time.

When we move to First Baptist St. John (starting Sunday, 6/20) we will have a single service that will most likely be similar to the current 9am plan.  We'll continue to monitor any changes to the guidelines over the coming month and keep everyone posted on what to expect before that time.

Here is the safety protocol for the 10:45 service:

  • Masks are required throughout the entire service.

  • No gathering in hallways or elsewhere in the building in close proximity to one another. Before and after service, visiting is encouraged outside. If you do visit with others inside, please keep a safe social distance.

  • Auditorium rows are spaced a little more than 6 feet apart to encourage safe social distance.

  • Those who live in the same household may sit together. Otherwise, please adhere to a minimum of 6 feet separation from others.

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be made available and usage is strongly encouraged.

  • Beverages are allowed in the auditorium, but please do not bring food.  Be sure to be as safe as possible and only take down your mask when drinking. We will not be providing coffee and food as usual.

  • There is currently no kids program, children are welcome to attend service with their parents.

  • There is access to a nursing mother’s room. It is located in the lobby with a bright orange sign. Please adhere to mask standards while in the nursing mother's room as well.

  • No offering is taken during the Sunday service. There are three main methods to give which you can view here: www.citylightsconnect.com/giving

  • Those who are at high risk or uncomfortable attending can view a live stream via our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/citylights.stl

  • We strongly recommend anyone who feels sick to remain at home and view the live stream as wel.
