City Lights Kids
Did you know that Jesus paid special attention to children when he was teaching? It was Jesus who said, "The kingdom of heaven belongs to the children," and "Whoever wants to be the greatest needs to become like a child," and "You'd do better to tie a rope and throw yourself into the sea than to drive a little one away from God!" Children were so important to Jesus. He loved their capacity to trust, their ability to believe, and their tendency to laugh and play. At City Lights Church we want to view our children the way Jesus did! We want to serve them well. We have designed our Kid's Program so that your child will creatively learn about Jesus and the basics of Christian life. Below is a typical Sunday morning schedule of activities:
9:45-10:00 Play with a Purpose (Children's area open early for all parents)
Children will be greeted by a leader and will engage in activities and interaction with other children. This time of "free play" is used to build relationships with the adult leaders and with other children.
10:00-10:30 Worship and Bible Story
Since worship and the Bible are important for adults, we include both components in our Kid's Program. Children will be introduced to kid's worship songs and instruments. After worship, kids will hear a simple and relevent Bible message that teaches the basics of Christianity.
10:30-10:50 Fun Activities
Children will engage in a craft or activity that relates to the day's Bible message.
10:50-11:15 Clean Up
After the service our Kid's Workers will remain with your kids until you pick them up.
