At City Lights, we know family plays the most important role in the discipleship of children. We want to be a place where families learn, grow, and find encouragement as they learn how to follow Jesus together.

Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God." (Luke 18:16) Children are so important to Jesus. He loves their capacity to trust and their ability to believe with great joy.

We want to view children the way Jesus does! Our Kids' Program is designed so that your child will creatively learn about Jesus and the basics of Christian life in the same way parents do during service. Our goal is not to replace but to supplement family devotion.

K-2nd Grade

What to Expect in the Classrooms

BIBLE TEACHING:  We use a Bible-based curriculum to provide a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way for the kids to learn God's truth's from the Bible. As children grow older we teach them how to apply God's truth to their lives.

FRIENDSHIP:  We want every child to build great relationships. During class, we play games together to encourage and help create lasting friendships.

WORSHIP:  Each of our classes engage in worship using age-appropriate songs. Many of the songs we use are sung in our adult service. As part of our worship, we give the opportunity for children to give monetary offerings.

We begin welcoming children into our Kids’ Program at 8:45 am. There are two

areas to register your child. After entering through the front doors, our toddler and

nursery rooms are located in the hallway just west of the worship center. Our Pre-k

thru 2nd grade class is located downstairs, just off the front lobby. You may register

your child at either of those classrooms. If you need assistance, please ask any of

our greeters at the front door.
